Do you ever find yourself digging up old bones of your past?
Indie-pop artist, Eliza Grace just released her latest single, “Fossils” on March 26th, 2019. Available everywhere, now!
Initially written when she was 16 years old, “Fossils” has always had a special place in the back of the young artist’s mind, but hadn’t quite made it’s way out into the world yet. Now, years later and after much inspiration from Halsey’s “BADLANDS” album, Eliza has decided to revisit the track alongside producer Cameron Pierce Mizell (Sleeping With Sirens, Memphis May Fire) and bring it to life. During the production process, the duo made a trip to Brooklyn, NYC to collaborate with famed guitarist (who also happens to share the same name) Cameron Mizell, who performed a beautiful guitar feature over the bridge of the track.
When asked about the lyrics, Eliza pointed to the main line of the song, “The fossils that live in your thought holes”.
“It’s about thoughts that are left unaddressed for so long that they start to ‘fossilize’ and become a part of you.” - Eliza Grace
Shot at Be Electric Studios in Brooklyn, the accompanying music video for “Fossils” is expected to release in May of this year.
